Samsung has recently stated via Twitter that the Canadian Galaxy S III launch has been delayed. The release of the highly anticipated Android device has been pushed back by 7 days, and is now expected to be released on June 27th. The delay will apply to all carriers launching the handset, which is pretty well all of them.

The delay, according to Samsung, is due to the extreme worldwide demand for the handset. While it may be frustrating to wait the extra week, most people can agree that such a widespread simultaneous release within Canada is still a great thing.

Hopefully there aren't any additional delays, but we'll be sure to keep you updated on any further information on the Samsung Galaxy S III as it becomes available!
