The tablet market has been buzzing, and we've been keeping you updated on many of the new devices set to hit the scene this year - the PlayBook, Galaxy Tab 10.1, and HTC Flyer, among others. According to several sources, it looks like we'll be getting an official announcement regarding the iPad 2 on Wednesday, March 2nd. No word yet on exactly what information will be released, but we should get an overview of the iPad successor, and hopefully a rough timeframe for release. Speculation thus far is pointing to a thinner design, more powerful processor (dual-core?), and improved display, in addition to a front-facing camera for Facetime. We'll be sure to keep you updated on any advancements on the iPad 2, so stay tuned!

HTC has just announced two new Android devices that will be hitting the European and Asian markets in Q2 2011, and the U.S. later in the year. The HTC ChaCha and Salsa both feature dedicated Facebook buttons, allowing users to access the popular social networking site with a single click of the button. It will also allow for speedy status updates, simple sharing, and quick photo uploads. No word yet on if or when these handsets will arrive in Canada, but we should see them around the same time that the U.S. does.

The ChaCha features a physical QWERTY keyboard located under the 2.6" (480x320) display, along with a 5MP camera with LED flash, and a secondary front-facing VGA camera. The Salsa has similar specifications, but has a larger touchscreen (3.4") and lacks the physical keyboard. Both devices will launch running Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and will be powered by 600MHz proccessors.

Bell is stepping up their competitive edge by reducing the price of their Novatel Wireless U547 Turbo Stick to $0 on either a 2 or 3 year term, though contract-free pricing remains the same at $199.95. The U547 is capable of download speeds of up to 42 Mbps using Bell's dual-cell HSPA network, a service that Telus is getting set to launch next month, so it's no surprise that Bell is offering a price reduction now. In order to get this Turbo Stick for free on a 2-3 year term, customers will have to sign up for the 42 Mbps Speed Upgrade for $10/month, and fall within Bell's coverage area for the service.
