They?re offering basically the same thing as Telus, promising to limit your charges at the bottom tier, providing unlimited data with no overages. Additionally, Bell is offering to waive the activation fee for those who sign up as well. According to their sites, both Bell?s and Virgin Mobile?s offers expire March 31st.

If you have or are getting an HSPA or LTE enabled tablet but don?t have a service provider, you now have plenty of promotional offers to choose from!

There are all kinds of things happening today as a direct result of the new iPad launch, and discounts are a part of them. Rogers and Telus have both come out with similar offers for their flex rate plans.

Telus is offering to waive the activation fee, and charge you for the bottom tier at $5 no matter how much data you use for the first 2 months. According to their website, the offer expires on April 30th, so those who couldn?t get their hands on an iPad today can still take advantage.

Rogers? offer is similar, waiving the activation fee, and offering up unlimited data for the first 2 months, promising no overages past the highest tier - $37/month. They will also double the amount of data included in each tier of their flex plan for 4 months after your unlimited period has ended. There is no clear expiration date for this promotion, but it is marked as limited time.

These are some great offers for those considering mobile data for their new or old tablet, including the new iPad. Head to Rogers or Telus to sign up!

Rogers and Telus recently re-introduced their $30 6GB data promotions, and now Bell has come forward with their own. Unlike Rogers and Telus however, the expiration date of the promotion was made available via internal documents for Bell, which is set at September 30th. Like previous years, however, this expiration date may be extended based on demand and device release, though it's a good idea to sign up early if you're interested.

As with the other carriers, the $30 for 6GB plan will require you to renew to a new 3 year term, or sign up for a new contract.

Every summer, we see the major carriers re-launch the $30 6GB data package, typically coinciding with the latest iPhone launch. Rogers and Telus are ahead of the game this year, with internal documents stating that they are each offering it up effective immediately. To get the package, you'll need to sign up for a new 3 year term or renew your current contract, as usual. Additionally, it must be added to a voice plan, and cannot be used as a stand-alone data only package. No word on exactly when the promotion will expire, but as always, you can expect it to be available for a limited time only. We'll likely see Bell follow suit in the near future, as the re-introduction of this plan is usually aligned among the major carriers.

Mobilicity is looking for another growth spurt, and has introduced a referral program aimed at promoting Multi-Month plans. Your friend can also receive a credit, if they sign up for the $35 or $45 plans, they will get anywhere from $10-$15. To really make this a great opportunity, they are allowing each customer to refer as many people as they want/can, with no limit to the number of credits.

In order to take advantage or the program, the person you referred must provide your name, phone number, and e-mail address when signing up in-store, and 8-10 days later you should see the credit deposited into your account. Likely in response to Videotron and Virgin's(Quebec-only) recent introduction of their $30/6GB data package, Telus has gone ahead re-introduced their own 6GB promo add-on for Quebec customers. It's unfortunate that the rest of Canada can't benefit from this recent competition, but it's still great to see carriers working to win customers over in some markets at least.

The 6GB add-on from Telus is available for all device types, including iPhones, and will work for both 4G and CDMA handsets. It is available to new, existing, and renewing customers, and overage charges come in at the standard 5 cents/MB. The package is being offered on a promotional basis only, and will no longer be available after July 31st, so be sure to contact Telus if you're interested in adding it to your line.

Last year when Rogers' discount brand Chatr launched, they offered up a 6 month promotion giving a $10 monthly discount towards customers' price plans. Having been about 6 months now, Chatr has switched up their site, indicating that they have made the discount permanent!

So, for $25/month, you can get unlimited incoming talk, unlimited outgoing talk to anybody in your province, and unlimited incoming text. For an extra $10, you can make that province-wide outgoing talk Canada-wide, and add unlimited outgoing text messaging as well.

If you live in one of Chatr's Zones and are looking for affordable talk and text options, be sure to check them out!

We just let you know that Virgin Mobile has reduced the cost of their data packages by $5/monthly, and now it's WIND's turn to crank up the competition. A few days ago, select non-data BlackBerry users began receiving promotional text messages offering them free data services until April 15th. The text message selected users are receiving reads: "Hey BlackBerry user?try FREE data with our Infinite BlackBerry add-on until Apr-15. Interested? Reply Y to this message and start browsing, BBM, email & more". WIND Mobile is currently one of the only carriers that haven't made data services mandatory for smartphones, but with their contract-free handset purchase structure, it doesn't come as much of a surprise that they're enticing customers with this promotion, rather than forcing them into data package subscriptions.

With the holiday season well underway, we're seeing carriers do their best to remain competitive with promotions, discounts, and offerings of all kinds. One of the latest promotions to launch is the waiving of activation fees on new line activations, which is normally a $35 charge billed to the account at the time of creation. The promotion is being offered by the big 3 carriers - Bell, Telus, and Rogers, and is effective until December 31st of this year. If you've been thinking about activating a new line with any of these 3 carriers, now is a great time, as you can take advantage of the many promotions such as this one.
