Motorola MOTOLUXE coming to Bell May 22nd for $300 outright?

We recently let you know that the Motorola MOTOLUXE was coming to Canada, with speculation pointing to a Bell and Virgin Mobile release. Thanks to leaked internal documents surfacing online, we can now confirm that Bell will be carrying it, and intend to launch it on May 22nd. Rumoured outright pricing comes in at $300, and given the specifications of the device, this makes sense. The MOTOLUXE features a 4” (480 x 854) touch screen display, and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread at launch. It comes with an 8 MP camera with LED flash and a secondary front-facing VGA camera. It’s powered by an 800 MHz processor and 512 MB of RAM, and offers connectivity including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.

HTC One S and One V dummy units arrive at Telus locations, launching May 17th

So far this year, HTC has been pretty focused on their One line-up of Android handsets, at least for Canada. The line-up includes the One X, which Rogers currently offers, as well as the One S and One V. The One V is currently available from Bell, and the One S is expected to hit multiple carriers.

The HTC One S features a 4.3” (540 x 960) Super AMOLED touch screen display with Gorilla Glass, and an 8 MP camera with LED flash and 1080p HD video capture. It comes with a secondary VGA front-facing camera, and runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The One S is powered by a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor and 1 GB of RAM, and comes with 16 GB internal storage.

The One V features a 3.7” (480 x 800) touch screen display, and a 5 MP camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording capabilities. It’s powered by a 1 GHz processor and 512 MB of RAM, and comes with 4 GB of internal memory. What is particularly appealing about this Android 4.0 ICS handset is its unibody construction, similar to the HTC Legend that was known as a pretty tough device.

Unfortunately, pricing is not confirmed as of yet. What we can let you know, thanks to internal documents leaked online, is that both are planned for launch on May 17th. Additional support for that timeframe is the fact that dummy units have been received by numerous stores. Given the specifications, we can expect the One V to come in at a relatively affordable price, while the One S will probably be comparable to other higher end Android handsets. Stay tuned, we’ll let you know as soon as pricing can be confirmed!
