Thanks to press release recently published online, we have a solid launch date and pricing for Bell's upcoming Motorola Atrix. The Atrix, which will be Canada's first dual-core mobile phone, is set to launch on March 17th, with a 3-year price tag of $169.95, and a contract-free cost of $599.95.

The Motorola Atrix features a 4" (540x960) qHD touchscreen display, a 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording, and runs OS 2.2 Froyo at launch. Powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor and 1GB of RAM, the Atrix doesn't leave anything behind when it comes to hardware specifications, which is further displayed by it's 48GB maximum storage capacity using the 16GB of on-board memory, and a 32GB microSD card. What's better? The Atrix is capable of download speeds of up to 14.4Mbps using Bell's network, meaning fast browsing, syncing, and more!

Bell has officially released the Samsung Wave for $29.95 on a 3 year contract, and only $299.95 outright, both prices coming in significantly lower than Rogers. The Samsung Wave has impressive specifications, featuring a super AMOLED 3.3" (480x800) touch screen, 5MP camera with HD video recording, and runs on Samsung's own Bada OS. Effective this morning, Apple has officially made iOS 4 available to iPhone 3G and 3GS users via iTunes. To update, ensure you have the latest version of iTunes(9.2) and plug the device in. If not automatically prompted, click on the iPhone icon on the toolbar on the left-hand side of iTunes, and go to the summary page, selecting "Check for Update". The Virgin Mobile Live application for BlackBerry officially launched today, providing BlackBerry users with the ability to sync music from their PC, as well as purchase and download content such as DRM-free music, ringtones, and wallpapers. Full music tracks start at $0.69 each, while ringtones cost $3.95 and wallpapers range from $2.00 - $2.50. The application will also provide users with extras such as artist biographies and lyrics for all tracks, and even embedded Twitter functionality so users can share what they're listening to directly from the application.

As of now, the application is free to download and browse through, but will use cellular data, so customers must have a supported data package to avoid overage charges. The application is officially available for the BlackBerry 9700 right now, and should be available for other BlackBerry devices in the near future.

As expected, the Motorola Backflip was officially launched by Telus today. The Backflip features MOTOBLUR, which is a content delivery service that syncs contacts, messages, photos, etc from social networking and e-mail websites such as Twitter, Facebook, and Gmail.

The newest addition to Telus' line-up features a 3.1" (320 x 480) touch screen, slide out QWERTY keyboard, and a 5MP camera. It supports HSPA, Wi-Fi, bluetooth, and comes with 512MB internal memory. Additionally, it is expandable up to 32GB via microSD, and runs Android OS 1.5.

The Motorola Backflip is available now through Telus, costing $249.99 on a 3 year term, or $399.99 contract-free.

Telus will launch the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 very soon in Black and in Pink. Bell Mobility also launching this device. It?s exactly the same device offer by Rogers but in CDMA version.
