Virgin Mobile has introduced a new $55 Student Combo Plan for a limited time that's actually quite a value. The new Student Plan from Virgin gives users 200 anytime minutes, unlimited evenings and weekends starting at 6pm, unlimited text and picture messaging, unlimited talk and text to 10 national buddies, and 1GB of data usage. No word on exactly when this plan will expire, but if you like the sounds of it we suggest you contact Virgin Mobile soon.

Thanks to an advertisement being posted online, we know that Rogers is set to introduce a new $40 student plan that features unlimited local MY5, unlimited text/picture/video messaging, unlimited BlackBerry Messenger, unlimited social networking (facebook, twitter, etc), and unlimited evenings and weekends. No word on how many daytime minutes are included, or what devices this plan will be available for, but we can imagine the BlackBerry Curve 9300 is on that list. Keep an eye out for this new student plan from Rogers, which should be available sometime in the near-future.

Earlier this week we let you know that Telus would be launching a $40 student plan that includes 100MB of data, Nationwide Favourite 10 Numbers, and the basics like 100+100 Anytime minutes, Unlimited text/picture/video messaging, Evenings & Weekends(6PM), and voicemail. Only a few days later, and we have word that they will be introducing another student plan for those in need of a little more. The new $55 Student Plan includes all the same features, but upgrades the data allowance to 1GB.

We recently let you know what you could expect this quarter with Telus as far as hardware goes, and it looks like students looking to save some money will soon have an affordable option for their monthly service package. The new student price plan will be launching sometime in the coming weeks, and will be available until October 5th, 2010. In order to get the new plan, customers will have to renew their contract for 3 years.

It is a English university based at Montreal, Concordia, which was installed with the help of Cisco the first WiFi network N (802.11n) in Canada. With this network could be used for VOIP applications or cell phone on campus through the network Mesh. The university will charge the user of this network the modest sum of $ 8.99 for external connections per month which is a very large can compare to offer WiFi G offered in cafes between Duke downtown Montreal. Cisco and Concordia reminder that their technology partnership lasts for a very long time and they are very proud to offer students at Concordia this unique network for the time being.

Students of Tohoku University of Japan, have developed through the Perpendicular Recording technology, a Microdrive for 10Gig. Seagate holds the record with his disc 8Gig. Microdrive 10Gig of this is still a prototype, but bet that many companies are ready to market.
