Telus just launched the Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 4G, and Samsung is looking to give Canadians a deal. They are offering up a $50 rebate cheque to anybody who purchases a Facinate 4G from Telus. To get the cheque, users will have to visit Samsung Canada's website and fill out a rebate form. The rebate will take 6-8 weeks to arrive, and the form must be completed before June 12th.

The Galaxy S Fascinate 4G is available from Telus for $99.99 on a 3 year term, or $529.99 contract-free. $50 off those prices is a pretty decent deal, so if you've been considering the Fascinate 4G, this just might be the incentive you needed.

The BlackBerry PlayBook has easily been one of the most anticipated devices to come to Canada, serving as a large step forward for Research In Motion. The PlayBook, which features a dual-core 1GHz processor and RIM's all-new QNX based OS, is now officially available via multiple channels.

You can pick up a PlayBook at Staples, Future Shop, Best Buy, Sears, and a variety of other retail stores. Numerous carriers are also offering the new BlackBerry tablet, though some, like Rogers, have been slow to update their website. Telus has updated their site to include the PlayBook, and Bell along with Mobilicity have created special offers where you can get a $100 mail-in rebate with the purchase of a PlayBook and BlackBerry smartphone at the same time. Bell's offer is effective until May 5th, while Mobilicity is keeping theirs available until May 15th.

If you've been holding out for the BlackBerry PlayBook, be sure to hit up one of the stores mentioned above or your favourite carrier to pick yours up today! The 16GB version is available for $499, while the 32GB comes in at $599, and the 64GB version is $699. [linki=]

Telus recently sold out of the HTC Desire - one of the most feature-packed, anticipated Android devices to hit the Canadian market, and are now offering up a $50 mail-in rebate for customers "who had to wait". Though there are no details available as to exactly what Telus deems as "waiting", it seems those who visit a retail location between August 20th - October 20th and have to wait due to stock being sold out will receive a coupon to offset the inconvenience of waiting for the device stock to replenish. With the offer expiring October 20th, we can be fairly certain that stock will be replaced by that date at the latest, so if you're looking to pick up a Desire any time soon, visit a retail Telus outlet to see if you might be able to take advantage of the $50 rebate.

WIND Mobile has launched yet another promotion to entice customers to make the switch, this time by offering up a rebate on device purchases of either $20 or $40 depending on the handset. With the discount, the BlackBerry Bold 9700 is now just $430, and the recently introduced, Android-powered Huawei U8100 is down to $140. Fine print for the offer reveals that the rebate will be mailed to you in cheque form within 10-12 weeks of purchasing the handset, and that you must cash it within 90 days of being issued or it is rendered void, but savings are still savings and should be taken advantage of if you're in the market for a new device from WIND Mobile.

Bell has launched a promotion offering up a $15 monthly rebate spanning the entire duration of the contract to users who purchase the Palm Pre on a 3 year term, in addition to providing the device at $0. The $15 monthly savings total $540 through the 36 month contract, enticing customers to try out Palm's webOS at a significantly reduced cost.

No official word yet on what this promotion means to the future of Bell and the Palm Pre, as some believe it's to compete with other devices (BlackBerry/Android handsets), while others speculate an effort to get rid of stock.
