Mobilicity is looking for another growth spurt, and has introduced a referral program aimed at promoting Multi-Month plans. For each person you refer who signs up for a Multi-Month plan (3, 6, 9, 12 month options), you'll receive anywhere from $10-$30 as a credit applied to your "My Wallet" account. Your friend can also receive a credit, if they sign up for the $35 or $45 plans, they will get anywhere from $10-$15. To really make this a great opportunity, they are allowing each customer to refer as many people as they want/can, with no limit to the number of credits.

In order to take advantage or the program, the person you referred must provide your name, phone number, and e-mail address when signing up in-store, and 8-10 days later you should see the credit deposited into your account. They are also offering a few prized for the top 3 referrers, including a PlayBook, free Mobilicity service, and a $250 Prepaid gift card.

The BlackBerry PlayBook has easily been one of the most anticipated devices to come to Canada, serving as a large step forward for Research In Motion. The PlayBook, which features a dual-core 1GHz processor and RIM's all-new QNX based OS, is now officially available via multiple channels.

You can pick up a PlayBook at Staples, Future Shop, Best Buy, Sears, and a variety of other retail stores. Numerous carriers are also offering the new BlackBerry tablet, though some, like Rogers, have been slow to update their website. Telus has updated their site to include the PlayBook, and Bell along with Mobilicity have created special offers where you can get a $100 mail-in rebate with the purchase of a PlayBook and BlackBerry smartphone at the same time. Bell's offer is effective until May 5th, while Mobilicity is keeping theirs available until May 15th.

If you've been holding out for the BlackBerry PlayBook, be sure to hit up one of the stores mentioned above or your favourite carrier to pick yours up today! The 16GB version is available for $499, while the 32GB comes in at $599, and the 64GB version is $699. [linki=http://www.mobileincanada.com/cellphone-994-en-bell-BlackBerry-PlayBook.html]

We just let you know that Virgin Mobile has reduced the cost of their data packages by $5/monthly, and now it's WIND's turn to crank up the competition. A few days ago, select non-data BlackBerry users began receiving promotional text messages offering them free data services until April 15th. The text message selected users are receiving reads: "Hey BlackBerry user?try FREE data with our Infinite BlackBerry add-on until Apr-15. Interested? Reply Y to this message and start browsing, BBM, email & more". WIND Mobile is currently one of the only carriers that haven't made data services mandatory for smartphones, but with their contract-free handset purchase structure, it doesn't come as much of a surprise that they're enticing customers with this promotion, rather than forcing them into data package subscriptions.

If you're someone who ships or receives a number of items via UPS, this app is great as it allows you to track packages, find UPS locations, and get quotes. Those with UPS accounts can also create shipments and send themselves shipping labels via e-mail for printing once on a computer.
