Both Telus and KOODO Mobile have officially released the INQ Cloud Touch, an affordable Android 2.2 handset. This new addition to their line-up features a 3.5" (320x480) touchscreen display, 5MP camera, and is powered by a 600MHz processor. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi with hotspot functionality, and bluetooth. The Cloud Touch places a focus on Facebook, and it looks as though INQ have included some of their own Facebook widgets for use on the homescreens.

If this sounds like something you may be interested in, it's available now from Telus for $29.99 on a 3 year term, or $229.99 contract-free. KOODO Mobile has it listed for $50 using the tab, or $200 outright.

Those looking for an affordable Android handset, and who prefer Telus or KOODO as their service provider are in luck, as both carriers will soon be offering the INQ Cloud Touch. Telus has come forward officially on their website announcing that the device will soon be available, while leaked information and images point to a KOODO launch as well.

The INQ Cloud Touch features a 3.5" (320x480) touchscreen display, a 5MP camera , and will run on Android 2.2 Froyo at launch. It is powered by an 800Mhz processor and 512MB of RAM, making it just slightly more powerful than the HTC Wildfire S that Bell recently launched, based on specifications at least. Connectivity options for the Cloud Touch include Wi-Fi (b, g, and hotspot), in addition to bluetooth and GPS.

No definite word yet on when the INQ Cloud Touch will be available, but we should see it launch fairly soon. Pricing, while still unconfirmed by either carrier, will apparently be $200 outright, and $50 using the tab from KOODO, according to the leaked information.

KOODO has recently launched their HSPA network, and so far we've seen two compatible devices launch for it - the Nokia 7230 and INQ Chat 3G. Rumours point to "Tab" pricing of just $24.99, while contract-free pricing is speculated at $150. No word yet on exactly when this device will launch, but we should see it available in the near-future.

In addition to these devices, we can let you know that Telus will be launching the Motorola Charm, a new LG Shine handset, and a new portable Wi-Fi device.

The Motorola Charm is an Android powered device featuring a full QWERTY keyboard, 2.8" (320x240) display, 3.15MP camera, with 3G, Wi-Fi, and GPS connectivity. The new LG Shine is also set to be released, though addition details are scarce. Finally, the portable Wi-Fi device will connect up to 5 others Wi-Fi enabled devices through a 3G data connection, and is the size of a computer mouse. The exact model, and pricing on all of these devices is being withheld until the day of launch, but we'll be sure to let you know if any additional information pops up.

Rogers advised employees today that the Sony Ericsson X1 has been discontinued. While the handset boasts decent technical specifications, sales seem to have dwindled for the Windows Mobile device due to a large variety of alternate options available to customers. For those inquiring into the availability of the X1 in the future, the Samsung Messenger will likely be suggested as it features Windows Mobile 6.5. The Messenger also features a full QWERTY keyboard, 3.2MP camera, GPS, and HSPA connectivity.
