Those looking to pick up a Wi-Fi only tablet now have another option to choose from in the Android field, the Toshiba Excite 10 LE. It features a 10.1? (1280 x 800) touch screen display with Gorilla Glass, and comes with a 5MP rear-facing camera and 2MP front-facing camera. The Excite 10 LE is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz processor and 1GB of RAM.

This Honeycomb, soon to be Ice Cream Sandwich tablet, comes in at 1.2lbs and is only 7.7mm thin. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS, along with micro-USB and HDMI ports for physical connectivity. The Toshiba Excite 10 LE is available now from major electronics retail stores for $549.99 for the 16GB model, while the 32GB version comes in at $599.99.

We recently let you know that Rogers announced that they would be launching 4 new LTE devices to coincide with their network roll-out, with Toronto up next on September 28th. The promised tablet, according to recently leaked internal documents, will be the HTC Puccini LTE. The Puccini features a 10.1" (800x1280) touchscreen display, and is powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz processor and 1GB of RAM. It comes with an 8MP camera with dual-LED flash and 1080p video capture, along with a secondary 1.3MP camera. It runs on Android Honeycomb 3.1, and comes with Wi-Fi (b/g/n, hotspot), bluetooth 3.0, and GPS connectivity, along with an HDMI port for physical connectivity to your TV.

No word yet on pricing, or an exact release date, but hopefully we'll see it launch sooner rather than later, so those in Ottawa and Toronto can make use of this great Android tablet.

A while back, we got word that Bell was preparing to release the Motorola XT860 4G, and they have finally done so. This Android 2.3 Gingerbread handset features a 4" (540x960) touchscreen display, full sliding QWERTY keyboard, and is powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM. It comes with an 8MP camera with LED flash and 1080p HD video capture capabilities, and a secondary 1.3MP front-facing camera. Connectivity options for this Milestone successor include Wi-Fi (b/g/n, hotspot), bluetooth, and GPS, along with an HDMI port for external displays.

If you're a fan of Motorola and Android, the XT860 4G might be worth considering. It is available now for $99.95 on a 3 year term, or $549.95 contract-free.

According to a recently leaked internal document, Fido is preparing to launch a new Android handset - the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro. The Xperia Pro features a 3.7" (480x854) touchscreen display and sliding full QWERTY keyboard, and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread at launch. It's powered by a 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM, and comes with an 8MP camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording, in addition to a secondary front-facing VGA camera. It also features the same Sony Mobile BRAVIA engine found in the Xperia arc, and offers connectivity including Wi-Fi (b/g/n, hotspot), bluetooth, and GPS, along with an HDMI port for those looking to get their phone's display on the big screen.

No confirmation as of yet on an exact release date, but the document states that it will be available mid-August, so we should be able to expect it soon. Pricing hasn't been made available either, and no information has been leaked so far, but it will likely come in around $100 on a 3 year term, or $400-$500 contract-free. Fido has been slowly expanding their Android line-up, and as a part of that, have launched the LG Optimus 2X. The Optimus 2X features a 4" (480x800) touchscreen display with Gorilla Glass, and is powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM. It also features an 8MP camera with LED flash and 1080p HD video capture, along with a secondary 1.3MP front-facing camera. The 2X comes with connectivity options including Wi-Fi (b/g/n, hotspot), bluetooth, and GPS. It also has physical connectivity via an HDMI port, and is an all-around great Android handset.

The LG Optimus 2X is available now from Fido for $100 on a 3 year term, or the great contract-free price of $425. Stock levels have quickly depleted, and it is currently unavailable for online purchase, but they're sure to replenish inventory soon.

We've known for some time that Rogers is preparing to launch the LG Optimus 3D, however a specific launch date has remained secret thus far. Luckily, we've found out that many Rogers retail locations have received stock, indicating a near-future launch. The Optimus 3D should be available very soon, and pricing has been leaked at $99.99 on a 3 year term, or $474.99 contract-free.

The LG Optimus 3D features a 4.3" (480x800) 3D LCD touchscreen display, along with 8GB of internal storage and a dual-core 1GHz processor. It has a dual 5MP camera with LED flash that can record 720p 3D HD video, or 1080p standard HD video. Other features include an HDMI port, Wi-Fi (b/g/n, hotspot), bluetooth 3.0, and GPS connectivity, and it runs on Android 2.2 Froyo at launch. If you're looking to pick up a 3D handset, the Optimus 3D is certainly worth considering, but remember, the HTC Evo 3D is also supposed to launch relatively soon.

A few days back, Rogers confirmed that they will be launching two Android-powered 3D handsets, the HTC Evo 3D and the LG Optimus 3D. Both have impressive features as Android devices alone, but the addition of the 3D display and stereoscopic/3D capable camera are definitely unique and will set these handsets apart from others.

The LG Optimus 3D has similar specifications, with a 4.3" (480x800) 3D LCD touchscreen display, and Android 2.2 Froyo initially. It's powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM, and comes with 8GB of internal storage. The Optimus 3D also has a dual 5MP camera with LED flash, and can record 720p 3D video or 1080p HD video. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi(b/g/n, hotspot), bluetooth, and GPS, in addition to an HDMI port.

Existing Rogers customers can reserve either of these devices online by logging into their Rogers account, and using their newly introduced Reservation System. No word yet on pricing or an exact launch date, but we should see both of the devices come available soon.

Canadian Android fans are seeing tons of amazing handsets launch from Bell (Sensation 4G, upcoming Galaxy S II, etc), but according to a new rumour floating around online, they are preparing to release yet another. The MotorolA XT860, otherwise known as the Milestone 3 or Droid 3, will apparently launch on August 4th. It features a 4" (540x960) touchscreen display, and comes with a full QWERTY keyboard and 16GB of internal storage. It's powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM, and comes with an 8MP camera with LED flash and 1080p HD video recording. It also has a secondary 1.3MP camera, and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It also has an HDMI port, Wi-Fi (b/g/n, hotspot), and GPS connectivity. Unfortunately nothing has been leaked revealing pricing, but according to this rumour, we'll see the device come available in early August.

First Videotron launched the super-powerful LG Optimus 2X, and now WIND Mobile have gone ahead releasing the device as well. The 2X, for those who haven't kept an eye on it, features a 4" (480x800) touchscreen Gorilla Glass display, 8GB of storage, and an 8MP camera with LED flash and 1080p HD video capture. Other notable features include its HDMI port and FM radio connectivity, which both seem to be hit or miss for recently released smartphones.
