According to leaked information, WIND is getting set to release the Samsung Galaxy S 4G. The Android handset is expected to launch tomorrow, providing yet another option for those with WIND or considering the switch.

The handset features a 4? Super AMOLED display, and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Apparently it?s powered by a 1 GHz processor, which sets it back compared to many current Android devices. Other details are still relatively unknown, but it seems to fit in quite well with the original Galaxy S line-up, including the Vibrant, Captivate, and Fascinate.

As for pricing, the Samsung Galaxy S 4G is expected to come in at $49 on the WINDtab with the $40 plan, $249 with the WINDtab with the $25 monthly plan, or $399 outright.

The Samsung Galaxy S series of handsets, including the Fascinate, Captivate, and Vibrant have been favourites of Canadians since their launch last year. Even the Galaxy Tab did well, being one of the first tablets available besides Apple's iPad. Unfortunately, all of these devices have been stuck on Froyo since at least December of last year, and while speculation pointed to a future Gingerbread update, confirmation was still awaited.

Finally, Samsung has announced that they will be pushing Android 2.3 Gingerbread out to all Galaxy S devices, including the Tab. The European market will get the updates first, expected "mid-May", so they should see it any day now. Unfortunately no word was given regarding Canada specifically, but they did say that it would be "gradually rolled out to other European markets, North America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East Asia, Africa, and the rest of the world according to the regional plan".

Hopefully Canadians can get all of the features and benefits of Gingerbread on the Galaxy S handsets and Tab soon! Despite the lack of clear details, we're expecting it to be available by mid-Summer at the latest, but that's just our best guess!

Telus just launched the Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 4G, and Samsung is looking to give Canadians a deal. They are offering up a $50 rebate cheque to anybody who purchases a Facinate 4G from Telus. To get the cheque, users will have to visit Samsung Canada's website and fill out a rebate form. The rebate will take 6-8 weeks to arrive, and the form must be completed before June 12th.

The Galaxy S Fascinate 4G is available from Telus for $99.99 on a 3 year term, or $529.99 contract-free. $50 off those prices is a pretty decent deal, so if you've been considering the Fascinate 4G, this just might be the incentive you needed.

We've been keeping you up to date on the Samsung Fascinate 4G, and are happy to report that it is officially available. Dubbed by Telus as "Canada's fastest phone", the Fascinate 4G can be picked up for $99.99 on a 3 year term, or $529.99 contract-free.

This new addition to Telus' line-up has a 4" super AMOLED touchscreen display and a 5MP camera with 720p HD video capture, along with a VGA front-facing camera. It is capable of download speeds of up to 21 Mbps via Telus' recently rebranded "4G" network. The Fascinate 4G has connectivity options including Wi-Fi, bluetooth, and GPS, and comes with a 16GB memory card out of the box. If you're looking for a great Android device, the Galaxy S handsets are sure to please you, but remember that the Galaxy S II will apparently launch in the coming months.

We have been keeping you up to date on all of the news about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 4G, and are happy to report that pricing has been revealed. An internal document which was recently leaked online shows pricing on a 3 year contract to be $99.99, while outright purchases are set to cost $529.99.

The handset itself is practically identical to the 3G version, but will offer users maximum download speeds of up to 21Mbps. The document also re-confirms the May 12th launch date, which we heard about officially last week.

A while back we let you know that Telus was going to release the Samsung Fascinate 4G, and they have finally come forward with an official release date. This new Galaxy S device will launch on Telus on Thursday, May 12th. No word on pricing as of yet, but we'll be sure to let you know once more information is made available.

The Samsung Fascinate 4G runs on Android 2.2 Froyo, and features a 4" (480x800) Super AMOLED touchscreen display with Gorilla Glass. It has a 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording, and is powered by a 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM. Connectivity options also remain consistent with current Galaxy S handsets, including Wi-Fi, bluetooth, and GPS. The main improvement in this device is the addition of "4G", offering maximum download speeds of 21Mbps.

Telus has recently introduced a sale, discounting 3 of their most popular handsets until May 8th. The Samsung Nexus S has been reduced to $99.99 on a 3 year term, while Fascinate (3G version) has been made free, also with a 3 year contract. The BlackBerry Torch 9800 has seen a price drop as well for the duration of this sale, coming in at $79.99 with a contract. Unfortunately outright costs haven't been changed, but it's still great to see sales of any kind.

Telus has recently rebranded their 3G+ network as "4G", offering data speeds reaching a maximum of 21Mbps. As such, they're also looking to upgrade their device line-up to support these faster data speeds, officially announcing the Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 4G. The Facinate 4G is similar to the previously released 3G version, but comes with the obvious upgrade to it's network capabilities. No word yet on an exact release date, but we do know that we can expect it to launch sometime within the next 30-60 days. Pricing is still unknown as well, but odds are that it will come in around $150 on a 3 year term. We'll keep you posted on any further news regarding the Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 4G release!

We recently saw Android 2.2 Froyo become available for the Telus Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate, as well as the Bell, Virgin, and Sasktel Vibrant, and now it's Rogers' turn. The Froyo 2.2 upgrade is now available for the Samsung Galaxy S Captivate, which introduces a variety of new features and improvements, including overall speed and stability improvements, and more. The update is available now, and can be downloaded and installed using the Samsung Kies software available at Samsung.ca.

Android 2.2 Froyo first dropped for the Telus Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate, and next in line was the Vibrant from Virgin Mobile and Sasktel. Oddly, Bell took there time with the upgrade, but it was finally made available for download and install as well. If you own a Galaxy S Vibrant, be sure to head to http://pages.samsung.com/ca/froyo/English/ to download and install the update to enjoy all of the benefits that come with Froyo.
