Acer recently announced that their newest Android-powered tablet will soon be available in Canada, stating that major electronics retailers would have it available for “pre-sale”. Future Shop had the device listed online and available for pre-order, with an estimated release date of April 6th, 2012. Since then, Future Shop has removed the tablet from the website entirely, and it’s nowhere to be found on other electronics retailer’s websites.
The Iconia A510 comes in two colours – silver and black. It comes with 32GB of internal storage, and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The upcoming tablet is powered by a quad-core Tegra 3 processor and 1 GB of RAM. It features a 10.1” (1280 x 800) touch screen display, and a 5 MP camera capable of 720p video capture, along with a secondary 1 MP front-facing camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
