Mobilicity launching HTC Panache (Emerald) very soon, $500 outright?

A few months ago, information was leaked pointing a new Android-powered device launching on Mobilicity. The HTC Panache, which was formerly known as the "Emerald" internally, is now officially set to "Coming Soon". It is essentially the my Touch 4G/HTC Glacier currently found in the U.S., and comes with a range of impressive features including Gingerbread 2.3. The Panache has a 3.8" (480x800) touchscreen display, 5MP camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording, and comes with 4GB of internal storage. This new addition to Mobilicitys line-up is powered by a 1GHz processor and 768MB of RAM, and comes with standard connectivity options including Wi-Fi (with hotspot), GPS, and bluetooth.

No word yet on an exact launch date, but we're expecting it sometime next week. As for pricing, rumours online are still pointing to the $500 mark, which is a pretty standard price for a handset like this one.
