Virgin Mobile has been putting the pressure on their competition recently, offering up a variety of handsets and price plan discounts. Their latest move in an effort to retain more customers, and win over prospective customers, was to reduce their Smartphone data offerings by $5 a month, a much-needed discount with Canada's high-cost data services. The $5 monthly reduction is applicable to the 500 MB, 3 GB, 5GB, and Flexi-Data packages, and is available to both new and existing customers. Existing customers will have to call in to have their package changed, as the price reduction isn't being automatically applied to accounts. Great move, Virgin! Keep the price cuts coming!
