There has been a lot of talk recently in the mobile and tablet worlds about the upcoming BlackBerry PlayBook that RIM recently announced. The PlayBook features a 7" screen, dual-core 1GHz processor, 1GB RAM, front and rear facing cameras (high definition), and a slew of other features. One of the most interesting parts about the PlayBook is the OS, which has been developed using QNX technology, and it's out-of-box support for BES, Flash 10.1, etc.

According to recent information published online, the BlackBerry PlayBook will be launching sometime in Q1 2011, and at least one model will be priced under $500. Since the PlayBook will likely be coming in multiple versions (8GB, 16GB, 32GB, 3G/No 3G), we'll likely see the lower memory non-3G versions launch at the $500 mark, but only time will tell for sure. Stay tuned for more information as it's released!
