Bell launching HTC Desire Z for $449.99 contract-free

We've been keeping you updated on Bell's intentions to (exclusively) launch the HTC Desire Z, and today we have a bit more information to share. Thanks to internal screenshots, we now know that the new Android 2.2 Froyo device will be launched for $449.99 contract-free, though an exact release date is still uncertain. The HTC Desire Z is on of HTC's newest Android handsets, and features a 3.7" (480x800) touch screen, a full QWERTY keyboard that is exposed by a "pop hinge", and a 5MP camera capable of capturing 720p HD video. It will also support your standard connectivity options including Wi-Fi, GPS, and bluetooth, and is shaping up to be a great device at a reasonable price.
