Starting yesterday, telus has implemented a useful feature to all customers using data, both prepaid and postpaid, called Data Notifications. The new service will notify mobile, smartphone, and internet stick users that they are nearing their usage limit, by sending a free text message. For postpaid customers, the notification will be received at the 75% and 95% marks, while prepaid customers will receive messages after using $10 and $50 worth of data. Users are able to opt out of the service, which can be done by signing into "My Account" online.
