Rogers launching Social View for Android devices, and getting Motorola QUENCH

Rogers has updated their homepage with a simple advertisement for "Social View". It isn't clear exactly what Social View is, but by the looks of things it serves to meet various social needs including text messaging, MMS, e-mail, Facebook, and Twitter at the very least. It will be released for Android handsets, although no word if it will come to existing devices, or just future products.

In the advertisement, Rogers let slip that we can expect the Motorola QUENCH (also known as the CLIQ XT MB501) in the near-future. The 4th phone from the front (just before the white X10) is indeed, the QUENCH.

The new device by Motorola features a 3.1" (320x480) touch screen, accelerometer, 512MB ROM, and a 5MP camera. It supports HSPA, Wi-Fi, bluetooth, and is expandable up to 32GB via microSD. The device should come with Android OS 1.5 with MOTOBLUR, and will likely feature Rogers' new Social View.
