Dell Canada have just announced few minutes ago the launch of 4 new cpmputer pre-instaled with UBUNTU 7.10. It’s the first time in Canada a computer maker offer linux pre-installed on computer. In this 4 computer 3 are laptop like as XPS M1330, Inspiron 1420n and 525n. This offer by Dell are too launched in Latin America in same time of Canada.

Lenovo puts SUSE Entreprise in its ThinkPad
Lenovo chose Novell to reinforce its position relating to Linux. On August 8 last Lenovo announced to want to deliver ThinkPad portables of the series T which will have SUSE Linux Entreprise Desktop 10. Motorola will equip its devices with Linux
Motorola developed a new platform for its future devices which will turn under Linux. Motorola which wants to put 60% of its devices sold in the world under this new platform based on Linux which is called MOTOMAGX, wants to thus offer more flexibility to the developers for created more software to adapt has its telephones. Motorola uses Windows Mobile only for its Moto Q and Q9. Two first devices to use this new platform will be Motorola ROKR Z6 and the RAZR2 V8.

We had the occasion to test this marvelous device which is however not cellular. Nokia N800 is a Shelf Internet according to Nokia, but can also be indicated like an Ultra Mobile PC. It turns under Linux and has a Wifi connection like Bluetooth.

Nokia launches its first software for Windows Mobile

Bluetooth bad shape?
The magazine reports a Vunet DoS vulnerability for the battery bleutooth. The vulnerability is exploitable via a Linux program that would flood the unit making bleutooth inoperative. The flaw is not new and only Nokia offers a fix for some of their Bluetooth devices.
