We recently let you know that Rogers was getting set to launch the Nokia Lumia 900, and right on time, they`ve have released it. The Lumia 900 is a Windows Phone Mango handset that features LTE connectivity. It has a 4.3? (480 x 800) touch screen display with Gorilla Glass, and an 8 MP camera with dual-LED flash, Carl Zeiss optics, and 720p video capture. It also features a front-facing 1.3MP camera, and is powered by a 1.4 GHz processor and 512 MB of RAM. Other specifications include its 16 GB of internal memory, and standard connectivity including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and HSPA to fall back on when the LTE network is not available.

If you?re interested in picking up this new handset from Nokia, it is now available online from Rogers. Price points are coming in as expected, at $99.99 on a 3 year term, or $524.99 completely outright. Those with Rogers but looking to buy contract-free can also pick it up on a monthly plan for $474.99 ? slight savings but well worth it!

We have made sure to keep you in the loop regarding the Nokia Lumia 900, and Rogers? upcoming launch of the handset. Now, Rogers has accidentally made their Lumia 900 pre-order page live earlier today, taking it down later and admitting that pre-orders aren't ready just yet. You are currently able to reserve your device and officially pre-order when it goes live, which should be any day now. And the surprise Rogers was promising? Each person who pre-orders will be entered into a draw, with the main prize being a private screening of The Dark Knight Rises. A couple of second prizes are also available, limited Special Edition The Dark Knight Rises Lumia 900s!

Those looking to pick up a Windows Phone device will soon have another option to choose from in Mango flavour, as Rogers will start taking pre-orders for the Nokia Lumia 900 starting next week. The handset, which is expected to launch in early April, is rumoured to cost $629.99 contract free, and around the $99.99 mark with a 3 year term.

The Lumia 900 features a 4.3? (480 x 800) touch screen display with Gorilla Glass, and an 8MP rear-facing camera with dual-LED flash and Carl Zeiss optics. The camera is capable of 720p video capture, and the device also has a 1.3MP front-facing camera. It?s powered by a 1.4GHz processor and 512MB of RAM, and comes with 16GB of onboard storage. It doesn?t come with a memory card slot, which may be an issue for some. The Lumia 900 features LTE connectivity, which will definitely be a huge selling feature. Other connectivity options include the usual HSPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.

The update registration page also mentions that there is a surprise for those who pre-order being offered up by Rogers and Nokia. What the surprise is remains a secret, but Rogers hints saying ?there?s a hero rising out of the darkness?.

Ottawa residents, today you're in luck. Rogers has officially gone live with their LTE network in the Ottawa area, and released a compatible data stick and plans to go along with it. The network offers maximum download speeds of 150 Mbps, and maximum upload speeds of 70 Mbps. Coverage spans from Arnprior west of Ottawa, to Gatineau to the east.

Along with the network, Rogers has launched one compatible device, the Sierra Wireless Aircard 313U. This USB rocket stick is capable of the advertised network speeds, and is the first in Canada. Pricing comes in at $79.99 on a 3 year term, or $169.99 contract-free. Along with the internet stick, you'll need to sign up for their newly introduced LTE Flex Rate Plan as well, which starts at $45 or 1.5 GB of usage. Once you exceed that, the next bucket is $60 for 3 GB, then $75 for 6 GB, and lastly $90 for 9 GB with additional usage costing $10/GB. As an introductory offer, they are also offering up no monthly service fee or overage charges for your first two months.

The N8 features a 3.5" (640 x 360) AMOLED display, 680MHz processor, 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 48GB using a max 32GB memory card), Wi-Fi connectivity, and a 12MP camera. The camera itself has a Carl Zeiss lens, comes with a Xenon flash, and can record 720p HD video. The Nokia N8, which runs on Symbian 3 OS, is available now for $79.99 on a 3 year term, or $449.99 contract-free from Rogers.

According to internal training documents that have recently leaked on the internet, Rogers is set to release the Nokia N8 sometime in the near-future. All of the major carriers have launching device after device lately, and Rogers is keeping up with that trend by launching the Nokia 6700 Slide. This new device features a 2.2" display, an FM radio, and a 5MP Carl Zeiss camera. The 6700 Slide runs on Symbian S60 and has a 2.5mm headset jack, with memory expandable up to 16GB via microSD card. The Nokia 6700 is available now from Rogers for $79.99 with a 3 year contract, or $229.99 outright.

Sony has just announced that the cameras T200 and T70 will be soon available in pre-sale. They are 2 cameras having a sensor of 8 mega pixels and optics Carl Zeiss like almost all the Sony cameras. The only really apparent difference lies in the face of the screen LCD which is 3.5 inches for the T200 camera and 3 inches for T70. It is possible to connect the cameras in a television Sony Bravia HDTV and thus to be able to benefit from the advantages of the mode photo TV HD.
