Bell launches HTC Wildfire S for $0 on 3 year term, $249.95 outright, also coming soon to Virgin Mobile

We let you know some time ago that Bell was preparing to launch the super-affordable HTC Wildfire S, and followed up shortly with news that Virgin would also release it. Bell was first up to make the Android 2.3 powered handset available, and now we've received word that the Virgin launch is just around the corner.

The Wildfire S features a 3.2" (320x480) touchscreen Gorilla Glass display, and is powered by a 600MHz processor and 512MB of RAM. It also features a 5MP camera with LED flash and VGA video capture, and comes with 512MB of ROM storage for applications and setting data. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi (b/g/n, hotspot), bluetooth, and GPS, and supports HSPA data speeds reaching a maximum of 7.2 Mbps.

The HTC Wildfire S is available now from Bell for $0 on a 3 year term (originally $29.95, but placed on sale already!), and $249.95 contract-free. Virgin Mobile will be offering it up any day now for $29.99 on a 3 year term or using the SuperTab, and outright pricing is consistent with Bell's, coming in at $249.99. Saskatchewan residents can also expect to get their hands on the device via Sasktel, though details are much more scarce regarding their launch.
