Rogers launching Samsung Focus (Windows Phone 7) exclusively in Canada in early November?

We just let you know that telus will be carrying the HTC 7 Surround exclusively in Canada, but it seems as though Rogers is looking to get in on some exclusive Windows Phone 7 action as well. Expected to launch in early November (simultaneously with AT&T), the Samsung Focus features a 4" (480x800) Super AMOLED display, is powered by a 1GHz processor, and comes with 8GB of internal storage built-in. Additionally, the handset will be able to carry microSD cards up to 32GB, and the device offers up a 5MP camera to top off the impressive specifications. No definite word on pricing as of yet, but we expect it to come in around the $200 mark, as that's what AT&T will be offering it up for.

It's great to see Microsoft launching hard with some great manufacturers, and it's even better knowing they've put some solid time and effort into the new Windows Phone 7 operating system. Hopefully we'll see even more devices launched in the near-future, and as developers get some time with the new tools, we should see a large variety of applications ready at launch as well. This is truly an exciting day for anybody who has been waiting for the official Windows Phone 7 announcements!
