Virgin Mobile launches Live application

The Virgin Mobile Live application for BlackBerry officially launched today, providing BlackBerry users with the ability to sync music from their PC, as well as purchase and download content such as DRM-free music, ringtones, and wallpapers. Full music tracks start at $0.69 each, while ringtones cost $3.95 and wallpapers range from $2.00 - $2.50. The application will also provide users with extras such as artist biographies and lyrics for all tracks, and even embedded Twitter functionality so users can share what they're listening to directly from the application.

As of now, the application is free to download and browse through, but will use cellular data, so customers must have a supported data package to avoid overage charges. The application is officially available for the BlackBerry 9700 right now, and should be available for other BlackBerry devices in the near future.
